Background
Plus recognized a recurring problem in the workplace – employees were wasting time continually updating screenshots in presentations to include the most up-to-date information. Through conducting interviews with prospective customers, I worked with the founders and engineering team to design and build a solution that allowed users to take a live snapshot, automatically updating with new data.
High-level snapshot flow and functionality

A main priority when designing the product was ease of use and efficiency, providing users with quick actions like copying a shareable link or viewing snapshots in full screen. It was critical that users be able to organize and view previously taken shots in an accessible, central location.

Snapshot organization
I tested the experience with prospective and current users to learn what improvements could be made, and found that many users were reacting positively to the automatic updating of snapshots, but were overwhelmed by the long list of previously taken snapshots. To solve for this, the team collaborated to create Favorites and Collections, which allowed users to organize similar snapshots into distinct groups.

Customization and accuracy
To provide users with customization of individual snapshots, I designed the experience to include editable name, description, and refresh settings. Providing rerassurance in accuracy, the interface also included details around a snapshot's last update, with the option to refresh immediately.

Shareability
Users found value in the ability to quickly copy a shareable link for snapshots and collections, but were looking for ways to increase collaboration. I designed a robust sharing experience, which allowed for customization of access levels and the ability to invite specific people.

Outcome
User engagement and volume of snapshots increased as I iterated on designs and worked with the team to build and continually launch. This momentum ultimately helped Plus raise a sizable seed round.
